TravelSync has always worked quietly in the background. It reads your calendar, works out the driving time between your meetings, and drops travel blocks in so your day actually fits together. Useful, but passive. You still had to look at the calendar to know when to move.
Not any more. Departure Alerts is a set of four notifications that turn TravelSync from a planner into something that taps you on the shoulder at the right moment.
A reminder before every journey
The simplest one, and the most reliable. Every travel block can now carry a native calendar reminder. Pick how much warning you want (5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 minutes before you need to leave) and your calendar does the rest. It is your calendar's own reminder, so it shows up on the lock screen, on your watch, wherever you already get alerts. Nothing new to install.
Change the lead time and TravelSync updates your existing upcoming journeys straight away. No need to rebuild anything.
A "leave now" email with one-tap directions
Want something richer than a calendar buzz? Switch on the leave-now email. As each journey approaches, TravelSync emails you the destination, the drive time and distance, and the meeting you are heading to. There are one-tap links straight into Google Maps or Waze, so you go from "time to leave" to "navigating" in a single tap.
Traffic delay warnings
This is the clever one. TravelSync re-checks live traffic on your route before you set off. If the roads have turned against you and you are going to be slower than usual, it emails you an updated "leave by" time so you can get ahead of it. No nasty surprise when you are already running ten minutes late.
It only checks journeys coming up in the next hour and a half, and you set the threshold, so you are only warned when a delay is genuinely worth knowing about.
A morning briefing
Like to see the shape of your day before it starts? Turn on the daily briefing. Each morning that you have travel, TravelSync emails you a quick summary: how many visits, your first departure time, total driving time and total distance. One glance and you know what you are in for.
It only lands on days you are actually on the road, so no empty emails on a desk day.
How to switch them on
Everything lives in one place. Open Settings, find the Departure Alerts card, and turn on whatever suits you. Each alert is independent, so you can have just the calendar reminder, just the briefing, or the lot.
Nothing changes until you choose it. Every alert starts switched off. Turn on the ones you want, leave the rest, and TravelSync does the rest. Works with both Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook.
Know exactly when to leave.
TravelSync adds real drive times to your Google or Microsoft calendar, then tells you when to go. Set it up once and it runs every hour.
