Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using TravelSync, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Motley Digital Ltd.

2. Description of Service

TravelSync is a calendar automation tool that reads events from your Google or Microsoft calendar, calculates travel time between physical meetings using Google Maps, and inserts travel time blocks into a calendar of your choosing. It also generates HMRC-ready mileage reports based on your travel block history. TravelSync only accesses the calendars you explicitly configure in Settings.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to:

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes.
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell access to the service.
  • Ensure you have the right to connect the calendars you configure.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and not share access.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

TravelSync is offered as a monthly or annual subscription at the price displayed on the pricing page at the time of purchase.

  • Subscriptions are billed in advance for the chosen billing period (monthly or annually).
  • You may cancel at any time. Access continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • We do not offer refunds for unused portions of a subscription period.
  • Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card details.

5. Free Trials

New users may be offered a free trial period. At the end of the trial:

  • The TravelSync engine will stop running and no new travel blocks will be created.
  • Your account and existing calendar blocks are not deleted — blocks already in your calendar remain.
  • You will receive a reminder email before the trial ends.
  • Subscribing before the trial ends gives uninterrupted access.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion is immediate and permanent — all your data is removed from our systems. Travel blocks already created in your calendar are not affected.

7. Modifications to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Where possible, we will give reasonable notice of material changes. We are not liable for any impact resulting from changes to or discontinuation of the service.

8. Nature of the Service — No Guarantee of Accuracy

TravelSync is an automation tool that creates travel time estimates based on data from Google Maps and your calendar. It is provided as a convenience aid only. You acknowledge that:

  • Travel time estimates are approximate and may not reflect actual journey times due to traffic, road closures, weather, or other conditions.
  • TravelSync may not create a travel block if a meeting is added to your calendar after the engine last ran, if the event location is not recognised, or if the engine encounters an error.
  • The absence of a travel block does not mean no travel is required. You are responsible for checking your calendar and allowing sufficient travel time for all appointments.
  • Mileage figures are estimates derived from mapping data and are not guaranteed to be accurate for tax, legal, or expense purposes. Always verify independently before submitting to HMRC or any other authority.

TravelSync is not a substitute for your own judgment. Do not rely solely on TravelSync to manage your schedule or travel arrangements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Motley Digital Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Missed appointments, late arrivals, or travel delays of any kind, whether or not caused by a missing, incorrect, or late travel block.
  • Any loss, cost, or damage arising from reliance on TravelSync's travel time estimates or mileage calculations.
  • Penalties, fines, or assessments arising from use of mileage data in tax or expense claims.
  • Loss of calendar data resulting from third-party API changes, service interruptions, or circumstances beyond our control.
  • Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages of any kind, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of TravelSync shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion, including for non-payment, misuse, or security risks. You may cancel your subscription at any time via the Settings page or by contacting us.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
