TravelSync is now open: what’s included in each plan
TravelSync is now open to anyone with a Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 calendar. Connect your diary and it starts adding the travel time around your in-person meetings, while building the mileage record you would otherwise have to keep yourself.
There is a 14-day Pro trial with no card required. After that, there are two plans.
Two plans, one difference
Both plans make your calendar more honest about the driving in it, and turn those journeys into a mileage log. Pro adds the emails that help you leave on time, and automatic out-of-office replies.
TravelSync
£5 a month, or £50 a year.
-
Travel blocks. TravelSync checks your calendar every hour, works out realistic driving time and adds busy blocks before and after in-person meetings. It chains back-to-back visits, uses your home or office as the starting point depending on the time of day, skips Teams and Zoom calls, and understands overnight trips.
-
Mileage. Each journey is recorded as the block is created, with the road distance, applicable mileage rate and a CSV export for any date range. It tracks the mileage threshold for standard vehicle rates, supports electric-vehicle charging rates, and includes a stats page with totals, top routes and a projection for the year.
-
730 days of history. When you first connect, TravelSync rebuilds journeys from the previous 730 days of calendar appointments with physical addresses.
-
Departure reminders. A reminder sits on the travel block itself, 5 to 30 minutes before you need to leave.
-
Away mode. Travel blocks pause while you are away, so overnight trips and time out of the office do not create a muddled mileage record.
TravelSync Pro
£8 a month, or £80 a year.
-
Knowing when to leave. A “leave now” email with the destination and one-tap directions, plus a morning briefing of the day’s journeys. TravelSync checks live traffic again before departure and emails an updated leave-by time if the roads have changed.
-
Out-of-office replies that run themselves. Put
#holiday,#sick,#trainingor#conferenceon a calendar event and the right reply goes from your own mailbox, in the existing thread, with the sender’s name and your return date. It sends one reply per person per absence and keeps your usual email signature.
People who joined at launch as Founding Members keep Pro features at the TravelSync price for as long as they remain subscribed.
Why the trial includes Pro
For 14 days, you get everything in both plans. That is deliberate. The only way to know whether the out-of-office replies and departure emails are useful is to have a fortnight in which they happen without you having to think about them.
At the end of the trial, choose a plan or walk away. There is no card required, so there is nothing to cancel or be charged for.
What has not changed
Your calendar and mailbox remain yours; nothing is shared or pooled. Sign-in is handled by Google or Microsoft, so TravelSync never sees your password.
TravelSync has been independently security tested to OWASP ASVS Level 2 (CASA Tier 2) under Google’s App Defense Alliance, and the assessment is renewed annually. You can read more about that here.
You can cancel in the app, manage your card and invoices there, and delete your account and its data whenever you like.
